Catra tells herself that she touches Entrapta’s hair all the time to create a sense of intimacy and bind Entrapta to the Horde, but it’s really because she’s been touch-starved ever since Adora left and she sleeps alone every night.
at first i thought adora and catra had a big values clash: catra only cares about ppl she personally likes versus adora, who’s utilitarian and looks at the bigger picture (”i have to leave the horde/catra to save other people even if it hurts catra”). but then i remembered the interaction with light hope where light hope told her she needed to let go of her attachment and how adora refused to. so i think catra and adora are actually fundamentally very alike: they both care a lot about individuals more than larger groups. with that same character trait being the catalyst for mara’s failure, i’m interested to see how the narrative handles the big “individuals versus collective” question in future seasons
